Message-ID: Hello: I've updated to my Java compiler to version 1.7. I'm have issues running neuroConstruct. Does anyone know if this version is supported by neuroConstruct or have navigated there way through this issue before? Thanks! Which OS are you using and which version of neuroConstruct? Recompiling the code (by deleting the classes directory and running 'nC.bat -make' or './nC.sh -make') may help. The specific issues are: - When I first installed neuroConstruct a few months ago, it worked fine, especially the Visualization tab. - I tried to use neuroConstruct the other day after not using it for a few months and I could not visualize any neuron structure I set up. When I looked at the error messages, it appeared there was something wrong with its communication with Java. The first error message said something about there being no GUI. - I installed a newer version of neuroConstruct (1.5.3; I was previously using 1.5.2) and had the same issues. -I updated my Java compiler from 1.6 to 1.7 and now neuroConstruct will not even load. If you can help me with this issue, I would appreciate it. Also, I am using Ubuntu as my OS. Thanks! I'd highly recommend trying to recompile the code using nC.sh as outlined below. This should show up any issues with the code/version of Java. Make sure you have the JDK (developer tools including javac) installed to recompile the code (I assume you're using the OpenJDK version of Java?). If you've still issues or have further questions, mail me directly. Regards, Padraig On 12/06/12 17:08, Natasha Wilson wrote: > Hello Padraig: > > Thank you for your response.
